Nitrogen Control Unit (NCU)
Overcome the limitations of conventional injection molding and discover the economic savings gas assist process. The BAUER Nitrogen Control Unit can adapt any injection molding machine, regardless of make or model, for use with the gas assist process. The operator interface allows real-time access to all programmable functions including time, pressure, ramp and start delay, realtime process pressure curves process pressure gauges, inlet pressure meter and safety interlock confirmation.
STANDARD SCOPE OF SUPPLY
- Power ON/OFF switch with power ON light (electric circuit energized)
- 10.4” passive matrix color touch screen
- Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) that monitors:
- Active and saved gas injection profiles
- Current inlet pressure
- Current channel output pressure
- Current molding machine safety status
- Automatic purge settings
- Control interface input status
- System response setting - 24-pin interface connector
- Emergency stop button
- Mounting option model M1 (pedestal stand)
- Manual isolation valves for each channel regulator
- 9-pin serial port for remote PLC access
- NCU connection kit, which includes the following:
- BAUER VCV-0002 Vent Control Valve (1 per gas outlet)
- 1/8” stainless steel tubing, 20’ length (1 per gas outlet)
AVAILABLE ACCESSORIES
- Model M2: Table Top Stand (optional) For any flat, stable surface such as a work table or stand.
- Model M3: Pendant Arm (optional) For suspension of the NCU enclosure within three (3) feet of a wall or molding machine. Additionally, the control enclosure can be supported from the top or bottom. The pendant arm consists of the following standard features:
- 1.5” x 2.5” square tubular arms
- Vertical or horizontal surface mounting adapter
- 90° elbow adapter
- 300° swivel joint
